i found a used greddy kit for sale. it has about 6k on it. it all looks like its in good condition. the kid selling it seemed like a nice guy. i talked to him for over an hour on AIM. the kit comes with the trust FMIC. Tell me what you guys think about this. I offered $1500. Anything i should know about greddy kits?
1500 is a little to much for a used greddy kit with that many miles on it, probaly cause it's for a d series. I would suggest that you be patient and learn alot more before buying it. Do alot of searching and you'll be happy that you didn't buy that kit.
I personally was in the same position as you 10 months ago and seen a 18g Greddy kit forsale so I jumped on the deal and after alot of learning from this site I kinda regret buying it and shoulda went towards a CUSTOM setup
. But there are alot of deals on here so just be patient and hold onto the money til a desperate person in need of money sells a kit. OR just start buying parts 1 by 1.

For 2400 you can peice out a nice kit with some "PATIENCE". I learned that when it comes to boosting being patient is the best resource you have to this hobby.

1500 is an alright deal since its the kit w/ front mount ic. Kit new is in the 1200-1400 plus ic and piping run another 500-700 from greddy. Does it come with a bov? Any type of fuel management or just the blue box?

You can get a new kit for ~$1400. A greddy intercooler kit is like $700. So for around $2k you can get everything new. So id say 1500 is a little high...ive seen them for as little as $800 - $1200 with an intercooler.

I'm not bashing them cause I do own a 18g kit just like you. I haven't felt the pull of a 18g turbo but since I'm gonna get my block sleeve as a Christmas present from my wife I have higher goals now. I might throw it on and try to max it out then probaly sell it to get a fullrace setup.

my friend paid like 1200 for his greddy kit w/intercooler. all with lower mileage.
oh and BTW the greddy kit is perfect for someone just looking for a little more power and want to bolt it on and be done with it..custom kits are not for everyone
