Default DC 4-1 header hangs too low!!

I have a 99 Civic Si with DC 4-1 headers. I bottomed out two days ago and hit the header on the ground. The #1,3 tubing got dented on the bottom. Is it alright to keep on using the header? Will it effect the car a lot? Please help. Thanks.

You can take the header to a good exhaust shop, and they will be able to straighten it right out. If you cant find a place, shops that specialize in dirt bike pipes will be able to do the work as well.

I'm not to sure about the ceramic coating, but you might have a little problem. Honestly i dont know if they will be able to. I would call around and ask questions.

hey dynomite - is your car lowered at all? I have the spoon header and a lil weary to put it on cause I'm afraid of denting it (i'm at stock height). BTW you should be ok to drive, you might lose some hp though

Don't worry too much, i bottom out all the time, my DC 4-2-1 CC header has two fairly large dents in the down pipes, they're actually concaved inwards and pretty bad. i might have even picked up some torque! other than bottoming out and hitting them...i also scrape them up too...so the dents i got are pretty lenghty....they've been through alot but are flowing just as well.
