Default Valve Clearance issue

Currently I have this head with work done

milled 0.010" (+.3 CR)
5 angle valve job
open up valve bowls
mild porting of intake and exhaust (flowed on a bench to make sure they flow @ the same rate)
portmatched intake manifold
intake manifold cleaned up in the ports to get rid of the sand flashing from the casting process (kinda like extrude hone)
portmatched exhaust side to most all aftermarket headers

the setup is good for cams that have 12.5mm lift / 295 duration, and is good for 10,000 rpm's

I plan on placing this on top of a CTR block w/ CTR cams.... Is there any way I can estamate clearances before doing the clay test?

mathematically you can since the CTR piston have the stock sized valve reliefs just the dome is higher. What are you trying to estimate ?

right now I estimate c/r is about 10.7:1, I just didnt want any issues since i've never messed with a milled head on a diferent block and different cams. If possible I would like to hit 11.0:1 but i dont want to compromise life.

milled 0.010" (+.3 CR)

Uh, you've been lied to. .040 (forty thousandths) is worth about +0.5 CR. You're .010 isn't worth the +0.3 CR you think it is.

CTR block and B16 head = 12.5:1. Where'd you get 10.7????

stock compression is 10.4 in a b16b (as listed on hybrid.perf.org, I thought it was more than that but I wasnt sure. the heads are identical exept for the work done to this one.. correct?

okay so maybe theirs was wrong is • Stock B16B CR=10:8 but still even with a slight mill its around 10.9-11 depending on head gasket, and its not like im using a b16 block, im using the b16b block which with an identical head will still have 10.8 cr

12.5:1 c/r is when the CTR pistons are used in a LS or GSR/Type R block.
