Cost of Lower Balljoint removal from Honda?
I just thought about doing this since my brother and I have tried everything to get the LCA off from the balljoint. In the process, we poked the boot to hell. I was wondering if anyone knows if Honda does it? and how much would it cost?

Any tire/automotive service shop should do it. Allied, Tuffy's, Big Ten, Firestone...
Most will charge an hour's worth of labor. $20 is quite the deal.

I wonder why it's giving you such trouble to come off...I just pressed in poly bushings a few weeks ago, and of course had to pull the LCAs off to do that too. I just got one of those forked ball joint pullers from AutoZone, stuck it in there, and it only took about two or three good pops with a hammer and it came right out...
But yeah, about an hour's labor sounds about right to me- somewhere between $40-$100 bucks, depending on the shops hourly rate.

yeah 20 was nice
im like, I took it to 2 shops
one said they dont do that (????)
and the other failed to get it out
so goodyear tires here said, 20 bucks. im like KEWL.
I would try the press, but mine was nicely in there

I thought I understood, but you're unclear.
Are you trying to replace the ball joint or just separate the knuckle and lower control arm for another reason?
Smacking the LCA itself while applying some downforce with a large pry bar will knock it loose from the knuckle. Hit it hard with a big hammer on the boss where the bj stud passes through. It works on the upper too, just hit the knuckle outside of where the stud goes through. It leaves a dented lca/knuckle (hardly noticeable) but an untouched bj boot.
DO NOT use one of those forks!!!!

if you smack it to hell where you can tell its been smacked in, will anything happen to the LCA? will it crack there? im talking, where you hit it so much, its flat in that spot and the metal is kinda rippled up.

sure beats using a pursuader and ruining the threads. unfortunately i had one of those adjustable ones, so it was a pain to fit it correctly and tighten it down so it wouldne slip off....
either way. better do it right the first time or you will have grief when the ball joints are all ruined.
but i think the topic is asking how to remove the actual ball joint itself. not seperating it from knuckle/lca

I tried that Pitmann Arm Puller...didn't fit over the joint. I am trying to take the balljoint out from the knuckle to replace it AND trying to get the LCA off from the balljoint. Damn bastard doesn't want to budge. Oh well, I found a Goodyear near my house, after work i'm going to take it over there.
