If you want to do the drop so your car looks cool, just get some coilovers. With springs *any springs* on our Civics, they will not settle evenly, and you will have the Honda gangsta lean (where the drivers side sits slightly lower). Get the coils so you can adjust em however you want it to look.

I liked the Skunk2 coils on my buddies EX. Just get the regular springrates if you don't have a swap or a bunch of stuff on your car that adds extra weight.

well... it has no swap right now, but i plan to do LS/turbo...so i guess it would be good to get coilovers so i can raise the front a little to compensate for the weight when the swap comes.

what is a average prive for skunk2 coilover sleeves, or ground controll?

go with GC great coilover and great spring, i don't like skunk 2's. and if you want better handleing go for integra spring rates, it will be alil stiffer but if you keep it at a decent height it will be great

my friend has GC coilovers on his eg-hatch....with teg rates... it is WAY too bouncy b/c it is so stiff.

A lot of the bounciness that you are talking about is probobally coming from a lower quality shock running very stiff spring rates. I still vote for the Skunk2 setup with Tokicko Illuminas. Full adjustability.

well price is kind of an issue too. i can get new tokico blues for like 250, and the coilovers for almost 200... so all together, im not looking to spend much more than $400 struts/springs....maybe ill give the skunk2's a chance on the blues....

anybody know what spring rate are for the max speed coilovers for 88-00civic. is it the usual 400f/300r? i had those on my eh2 with crx struts.. slammed.. and i loved the ride quality and performance.
