Default Odd clicks when starting

I'm thinking this is my starter relay, but when I try to start the car it makes a few really quick clicking sounds from under the dash near the ECU. I can't jump start it. I think I can roll start it, but the engine was cold and it's on a flat surface so my one attempt at that exhausted me and wasn't successful. Does that sound like relay is bad, or just a weak battery? I figure it isn't the battery since the lights come on pretty bright and the jump starting didn't help. When I take out the fuse for the starter it doesn't make the sound anymore. Any info would be appreciated.

Weak battery.

Your hearing the starter attempting to turn the flywheel but it doesn't have enough AMPS to put it.

Ah well.....no.

I'd start checking the relay like you thought.

I replaced my starter yesterday, but no luck. I kept hearing those clicks. My friend also told me to check for weak battery one more time, so I took the battery out of me other car and tried it out, after trying the jump start again, but still no success. So now I have to spend $50 on a little peice of plastic with a few transistors on it to try that out.
