jdm gsr swap with kaaz lsd. ?on lsd
I just recently got a jdm gsr swap and went with the optional lsd . The owner of hmotors told me it has the kaaz lsd transmission . Is this the same type of kaaz that is installed in trannies aftermarket ? Also i would like to know what the scheduled maintenence should be for this transmission and what oil i should use and how much ? I was reading through some threads and alot of guys are running gl5 with ford additive ? Im pretty confused so if one of you tranny gurus can set me straight i would be grateful .
There's many JDM aftermarket companies that make LSD's. Aftermarket LSD's can range from KAAZ to Spoon to CUSCO, its just that your tranny turns out to have a KAAZ LSD because (im assuming) the previous Japanese owner of your SiR-G engine did some upgrades while he still owned the engine that you now own.
JDM OEM hydro LSD tranny's are usually gear type though.
Duno if this was the answer you're looking for but its what makes sense to me. One thing you can take note of his when you turn your sterring wheel, you'll probably feel a 'tugging' feeling and possibly hear some noises like a 'kung kung kung' sound....all of that is normal w/a KAAZ LSD.

Is there a way to find out if it's gear type or clutch type ? I need to figure out what kind of fluid i need to get ? Does kaaz make a gear type ? the only lsd i have found made by kaaz has been the clutch type . Thanks for your help but im still pretty cnfused
