How do i check to see if my master cylinder is ok?
My clutch grinds a little, or gets sticky, when its alomst all the way down. From what i've read, it seems to be the master cylinders. But i don't wanna order a master cylinder and then have it turn out to be something else. So here's what i'm wonderiong.....how to i find out if it is the master cylinder? I don't even know where this **** is located, so put it into lamen's terms.....thanks
(oh and i dont have time this week to take it to a shop, thats why im trying to figure it out myself.)

if your clutch grinds it could be your clutch, synchros, or master cylinder...hard to say i guess...
anyways...if u climb under your dash, it's the piston that is connected to your clutch pedal. You can access it through the engine bay...
i think i need one too

do you know where your brake master cylinder is? if so it is the smaller reservoir next to it, if it does not have any fluid in it you have a leak (dddduuuhhh), get under your dash and look where the clutch pedal goes through the firewall is there any leakage there that is usaully where they leak. one more note it is a good idea to change out the slave cylinder too if it happens to be a master cylinder leaking. i work at a dealership and we have run into several problems when not doing them together
