Help...How do I know if the clutch slave cylinder is bad?
I know my master is leaking cuz my floorboard is wet with DOT3 brake fluid..but how do I know if the slave is messed too??
Also, if I replace the master cylinder, is it neceessary to change the slave cylinder if its ok?
One n00b more question...where is the floater in the clutch reservoir? I dont see it...

no you dont need to change the slave cylinder if you're changing master cylinder. when you do change master cylinder dont buy rebuild kit just get a new one coz if you do it will leak again in a matter of months. As for the floater you dont really need one its a round rubbery piece that floats on top of the fluid.

There is not a floater in the clutch resovour only the brake master for a sensor that lets you know when the level is low. If the slave cylinder is not leaking dont worry about changing it. Be sure to fully bleed the system after changing the master cylinder.
