Hi guys i have a problem here with my car..

Sometimes (like on 1 out of 10 starts) my car would start up but then after 3 seconds it slowly dies.. but 900rpm to 500 to 100 then 0...what could be the problem here?

and when im driving sometimes the car has a whizzing noise and even though i put the same pressure on the gas pedal the car jerks up and down and i hav to put it on neutral or downshift because if i step on the gas when the car jerks the CEL light comes on ;(

any suggestions on what could be wrong? thanks

my car is a 91 civic si ...no engine mods but i did change the disturbutor to another used si one... i thought that was the problem..but no the sound is still apparent
