Default hard to get into gear at high RPMS?

I have a JDM ITR 4.4fd /w LSD with about 25k miles on it. Switched over to honda MTF recently. Anyways, when I try to shift at high RPMS, its really hard to get it into gear.. any input?

Check your clutch and its components...fluid levels first, then more serious stuff.

does it grind? or just hard to move the shifter into gear? what fluid were you using before the MTF?

its hard to move the shifter into gear...and if I do use force to shove it in gear there is some feedback...kinda like grinding but hard to explain.
I think 20w-50 was used before I switched over to mtf. mtf has been in the tranny for less then 300 miles.

Maybe the mix of leftover 20W-50 and MTF is not good? Flush it one more time with MTF.

It could be the fluid, clutch, or it could be you.

In my opinion its the Pressure plate my friend......

It happened to me.....i was racing and shifted into 3rd...and i heard a crunch..i said **** i mis shifted.....but then i couldn't get into 2nd as well.....and all gears were very hard to select.....

I had a broken PP and Thrust bearing.

It doesn't matter if your clutch is slipping or not..it could be the PP.

Regards,

I was sort of implying same thing in my earlier post, but hoping it would be something much less. It too happened to my friend, same stuff. Got to the point where he could only shift below 2k rpms.

Good luck
