will advancing the intake and retarding the exhaust help to bleed of some compression(dynamic)

you will have to retard the timing to run 91 octaine

Over the counter octane booster sucks. He'll go from 91.0 to 91.7 octane.

You could always run some Toulene in there. Now that's a real octane boost. I actually ran a gallon of Toulene mixed in a tank in my Civic. Didn't seem to notice anything.

i'm runnin exactly 12:8:1 right now on 91 octane tuned on a vafc....timing is at 12 or 13...can't remember exactly which...wouldn't recommend goin any higher than this and just to be safe tune it on hondata to get all the kinks out....good luck

Ignition timing is what you are talking about right?

Dynamic CR = (cylinder volume at the point intake valve closed shut) divided by (cylinder volume at TDC). So I think retarding your intake cam will lower the compression, exhaust cam probably has nothing to do with it.

Well even with all the tuning done to your car running on just 91 octane a romping it to say 9k is not good on 91 but to be safe just mix it! never go above 6k on just 91 because after that you will just start detonanting the motor because of the extreme heat caused by the this compression.

If you want your motor to last and dont' look at a rebuild within the next year then just mix it and be safe. I have seen to many motors well even after tuning fail due to high rpm and detonation causing rods to sieze to the crank.

you will make good hp with this compression but mix some 110 once in agreat while just for added insurance

Yes , but you will have to take timing out of your high to medium load timing maps . I am running 12.5 with no problems but a motor with 11.1 and full timing running pump gas would make more power than a high compression motor with retarded timing for pump gas . Rule of thumb is build your engines compression so full timing can be run for the gas available .

what if i always run a 15% mix of toulene (1.5 gallons to a tank) and put my octane rating near 95 would that be good or more octane?

since you can get 94, just run that. If you hav your motor set up to run on pump gas, then you will have no problems
