will a cracked exhaut manifold cause my check engine light to come on?

I had a dc headder on my stok sohc vx engine, the original manifold was cracked rite down th middle, once i put the stock cracked manid on my engine the check engine light came on would it be from the cracked manifold or should i look for something elese that may e causing he light to come on?

o2 sensor?

i dont think a cracked manifold will give you a cel...

whats the code?

Might cause one, due to sample dilution. You may be sucking air in the manifold, and freaking your O2 out, causing a code.

the same way an exhaust leak will cause your car to fail inspection for too high oxygen content. to answer, yes it may cause a code.
