Default cooling fan not coming on!

My cooling fan is NOT turning on. Just wondering what I can do to check the thermostat switch/sensor is working. I checked the fan, and it's plugged in. I checked the plug on the harness, and if I jump it the fan turns on. Right now I set it up to turn on with a toggle switch I have in the car. (Old NOS switch.) But before I buy a new thermostat switch. I want to make sure that's it... I may have damaged it a few days ago when some hot coolant spilled on it. Could that be it?

Thanks for the help!

there should be a fan relay that might be bad.

Does anybody know where the relay is located to check that... I checked the fuses located near the battery and everything was good.

You said in your first post that you jumper the wires from the fan switch, and the fan runs. Right there you proved that the motor, relay, fuse, and wiring are ALL OK. That only leaves the switch...

Thanks for all the help guys. All of a sudden out of the blue the fan started working again. I'll keep my eye on the temp gauge, and in the mean time I'll keep my manual switch hooked up!
