Idle problem- swapped obd1 d15 in a crx
alright, i have a 95 civic dx motor in my 88 HF. i'm running the obd0 alternator, distributer, injectors and ecu. my intake air temp sensor was not plugged in and when i cranked my car up it jumped to about 3500 rpns and then after about 10 seconds it dropped to a surging idle of 1000-2000 rpms. i plugged the IAT sensor in and now when i crank my car up, it immediatley jumps to 4000 rpms and doesnt drop back down. i dont want to convert to obd1 because thats money that i dont have. could it be that my 8 valve ecu cant make my newer 16 valve motor idle correctly? or something else?
TIA
TIA
now its throwing code 12- exhaust gas recircualtion lift sensor. please help, this is my daily driver and i cant effectively drive it...
yeah i'm pretty sure you can't run your HF ECU, on the 16 valve motor.. also your HF motor had a EGR valve, the motor you have now doesn't have one so your always gonna be throwing that code.. first things first.. get a 88-91 si ecu, or a OBD0 integra ecu w/o VTEC.. thats your best option
but are you sure that will fix my idle problem? because i'm a poor guy, if i dont have to spend money i dont want to you know?
