Before anyone complains, I know the pic is quite large, I just want everyone to have a detailed close up to see if anyone can identify the ecu and/or problem with the board. The ecu is supposedly a p28 (skunk2 2 chip installed.. duh) and I have a kenji obd2-obd1 conversion harness. When all is plugged in to my 2000 civic Si, the check engine light comes on (can't pull a code) the idle sits at 2.5k - 3k and when driving the car, the motor stutters and will not pull past 4.5k with some backfiring occurring during deceleration. Can anyone positively identify this ecu as a P28?? Does anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong with this thing?? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Sounds like limp mode to me, which means either your ECU isn't picking up one of the important sensors (Knock, IAT/IAP, engine temp, etc.), or a wire came loose somewhere. Go back over all your connections and make sure you're all plugged in.

its obd1 though
its obd1 though
funny but i am having the same problem with my p72 skunk2 ecu running my 93 civic-b18c1. i dont idle high but i can rev past 5000rpm without stuttering and blowing smoke. couldnt tell you yet if it is white, black, blue smoke since i havent checked yet. only thing i could come up with was my ecu is messed adn i think its giving too much fuel and not enough spark
i just got an obd2b-obd1 harness for my 00 civic si. i also got a p28 chipped ecu with 3 chips. there are multiple problems. either my car wont start, idles really high and surges, CEL comes on, runs really rich, then the ecu gets really hot, and makes a clicking noise. i dont know if its the harness or the ecu. i wish i could get some help around my house, but no one around here will touch it.

damn, your problems sound worse than mine!!!
tomorrow I'm gonna try the ecu out on an OBD1 B16a2 and see if the ecu works, if it does, its obviously my conversion harness with the problem
