do a search man first or look in the FAQ's, to let you know you'll get the same answer from everyone else

SOHC Turbo is bad ***..
LS turbo is also bad ***...
What specific information are you looking for?
I told you to search because this has been talked about many many times before.
And by you researching on your own, you can use your mind and decide from there.

Ok, that is understandable.
Have you tried researching the forced induction forum?
There are a lot of people who run SOHC boost on stock internals running almost 12's.
You could use your SOHC and salvage DSM turbo, 450cc injectors, intercooler, etc and run an FMU with a resistor box and put some nice ownage up on people.

really depends on funds. there is obviously more potential in b18b but it also cost more money.

the specific info that im looking for is if anyone has had any problems with it, or if anyone recommends any engine work before slapping the turbo on.

Of course we can recommend throwing down internals to the motor for more boost. But on stock internals, depending on the motor and compression ratio, will depend on how much PSI you throw down on it.
Mainly on good fuel management, I have seen both on LS motors and SOHC running no more than 10 PSI on stock internals.
Plan on at least building the sleeves, different rods and pistons before throwing down more PSI.
