Default CTR/ITR Intake Cams (B18C)

I am planning on getting a vafc(new or old model) and having it tuned by a local shop. I was wondering wether to get CTR/ITR cams and then get it tuned. I know if I have the money than I might as well, right? But should I get both intake and exhaust and if not, then what would be teh side affects if I were to get just one?

Its obviously best idea to get it tuned after the cams put in, there is plenty topics on the recommendation of honda cams - search. I forget which, but one the ctr/itr cam is the same.

If you are going to get just one it should be the intake cam. I dont think tuning those cams are a must but it would definately help.

the side effects are very minimal! I have only the ctr intake cam.... cause thats what I could afford at the time. I just bought a set of itr cams from my friends today so I can use the itr exhaust cam w/ my set up..........if you want, I'm selling the itr intake cam. PM me if you have any questions.....

also, if your going to have your vafc tuned, might as well have as many mods on your car when doing so....because once you do a new mod after its been tuned, it may throw it off a bit.

iH8RICERZ: I pm'd you.

Also another quick question. It just occured to me that i still have the stock dx fuel pump. I remember when i first did the swap and people were saying i should change it out for an integra one after I start modding it. Do I need to do this now or will it be fine even after the mods i plan to do here soon?

MODS: Skunk2 Im, Skunk2 chipped p28, apexi ws exhaust, Intake..........and soon to be itr cams, header, and tuned with vafc

00-01 ITR cams are the same as CTR cams. And you'll find that they are much cheaper usually. Definately a great purchase.

<---made 190whp untuned with ITR cams, but i had a good amount of other mods.

also, just from seeing that list you just made of the mods. I am going to suggest that if your looking for the most power out of your setup. that you should go with a different exhaust that doesn't have a bottleneck exhaust that doesn't rescrict air flow. i've had a friend that has dyno graphs of his car with the apexi on there getting 12whp less then when he changed over to a more free flowing exhaust that didn't have the restrictions that the apexi ws has. maybe some custom catback piping and then a muffler that isn't restrictive.

and definately tuning will get the most out of those mods. if you add other parts on in the future, you can always tune again.

Thanks, but I am pretty sure I am not loosing that much hp's, but you have the dyno charts so who's to say. Also I love how quite the apexi ws is and after 450$, I think ill hang on to it.

Any thoughts on the fuel pump?
