problem...THUD while driving!

Default problem...THUD while driving!
when i was driving on the freeway today, i noticed that when i gave it gas in 4th or 5th it would do a repeated thud noise and kinda shake everything but when i let off the gas it didnt do it. any ideas what this may be. it was generally speeds above 50. let me know i need help
