i got a 94 stickshift gsr with a transmission problem i believe. When im driving in 1st or 2nd gear and let go of the gas, my car jerks and makes a drag noise. In 3rd, 4th and 5th gear isn't so bad, i can still feel the jerk but not as worst as 1st and 2nd gear. It only happens when i let go of the gas pedal. It doesn't do it in neutral, only in gears. Normally in any manual cars, when you let go of the gas when driving, it rolls freely and smoothly then slows down, but in my car, it jerks and makes a raspy sound like something is being dragged, im guessing its a bearing or something because its not rolling smoothly. Let me know what you guys think

my guess would be a cv issue, when you turn do you hear clicking or popping noises? if it makes rattling sounds when it idles with the clutch out its probly a bearing issue. again just a guess lol

it does not make any noise when i turn or idle. it only makes the noise when i release the gas pedal.

idk man maybe your gears are just wearing, change the tranny fluid and look for metal lol im stumped

double check if u are fine on the fluid level.... if its good... try checkin your mounts, and if those r fine thn check ur linkage... and if thts fine lol could be ur synchros r proly just goin bad... but try the tranny flush first and if u want u can run 1 quart honda tranny fluid n two quarts penzoil synchro mesh, or royal purple synchro mesh and see if tht helps any....

maybe its pilot bearing i changed both when i had that problem though
