B-Series swap into EK..need some help
I'm swappin in a B16, can I use the stock Si Axles and the stock Si knuckle/spindle, arms?
Right now, the arm is like 1 inch from that damn hole that holds on the arm to the car. Are the axles too long? Arm too short? Whats wrong.....
this is the prob.

That bolt is for the lower control arm that attaches to the ball joint, underneath the knuckle. If the bolt isn't there, then the arm will push the entire knuckle assembly out, causing your axle to expand like that and pop out. Get that bolt in there first and impact that down and then put the suspension back together and axle in.
Well if I put that lca in. Then I find it impossible to put the axle in. The knuckle just won't go out far enough for me to stick the axle in.
and what do you mean by expanding my axles?

1) If I put the LCA to the car...I can't connect the top to the control arm(?)
2) If I connect the control arm(?), I can't connect the LCA which is shown in the picture.
Both of those..I have the axles already in.
Any other ideas?

guess you are late for school.........but everything you have should be working fine. there is something that you are leaving out....slow down and make sure that you have everything bolted in correctly, and if you still cant get it together this afternoon, take some pics and post so we can see what is really wrong....
looks like the bearings arent lined up and you pulled the boot out too far. try aligning them by playing around with the boot.
what do you mean I pulled my boot out too far? Would I push on the end of the axle to push it back in the boot? Please explain further on this.
Also today, I put the driver side axle in.....and when I started the car...the axle moved? I'm guessing the axle's weren't all the way in. (Only the driver side axle moved...the passenger side didn't move.)
Here are some pictures of more problems
In this picture here, I can't get that bar lined up w/ the camber kit/control arm? It just won't budge and let me push it to the balljoint.
Does the axle look like its in all the way?
Here's a view that might be better.
Does the shaft look likes its in all the way?

Play with taht Boot and get it cruched back up man that is what your problem is the Joints are missalinged like that. You have everything right except for that little problem you got there it happens to everone don't worry.
That boot is streched alot, should be half of that size.
And for the first pictures, the bolt that you were having problem with, this should be one of the first to go in, then you insert your ball joint. But then again, I have no experience with a camber kit, but I don't think it's relevent in this situation.

Yea, in my last post above, I put the bolt in first, and I can't push the bar back up to the balljoint.
Also, How do I crunch it back up? Just push on the end real hard or what?
And the other prob...why did my driver side axle move and not the passenger when I started the car?

THat axle is a constant velocity axle (cv axle)it has three rollers that fit in slots inside a cup which is covered by a boot on eAch end. If it gums down too it take the boot off and insert it into the 3 slots in the cup and reinstall the boot with hose clamps. Then the Axle will compress into the correct length and everything should line up
