timing belt wont go all the way up were up arrow is
ok when i try to turn the timing belt so the up would face up it gets so hard, it wont even move. i move it to the left and right but it seem either way at one point it get hard to move it moves but not all the way to the point where it need to set it to the up position. and yes it has the timing belt on do i need to take the timing belt off? or i can do it with even the timing belt on?
its a honda 2000 dx civic 2 door it has it normal engine on 110k

i know what OP means. You knew what I was saying. I used it in another context. No correction necessary. And the post in this thread is a lot more legible than the one grumblemarc posted.

ok i finally got to line up the up to the right position. now all i need is to reset the rest , i wish some one would just send me some really good pictures or tutorial how to line them all .

It's unclear to me exactly what you are asking for. Removing all of the spark plugs will make turning the engine easier.

ok ima try it in a moment again or tomorow incase it still doesnt start what could it be? oh and why are 2 of my spark plugs dark when i just bought them?

ok on my up cam wheel, the screw in the middle it always seems to loosen up i tighten it up but when i start the engine the whole time belt move in order to start but wont, so i chek the screw it always loose wich has the cam loose .

ok guys i now whats wrong. i took my head apart to see any bend sparks or anything. while on the process i notice that my cam bar wouldnt spin so i took out my cam and notice the lock to the cam and the bar broke wich means i need a new cam. ahahhaha got one thing figure out now ill post the other problem when my car turns on. wonder ho wmuch the cam for a 2000 civic cost. any one has a price on how much?

It probably broke because you have no clue what you are doing and forced something that shouldn't have been. Stop what you are doing and take it someplace to have it repaired.

ok no the reason it broke was because my time belt jump few teeths, and the screw that holds on my camshaft was loosend wich was hitting the back of the engine, and force to brake. i confirm this and also confirm with a honda mechanic he say i was right about my conclusion, now all i need is to reset my time belt. tomorow we gonna put it back on time i just bought me my camshaft. and no offense but honda are the one of the easies car to play with no need of being a good mechanic playing with your own car will help you learn alot more .

why take it to a shop if you too scare to mest with it? i rather mest with my car then have some one else see it lol i wanna learn more of mechanics , i learn so much when i open my engine lol kind of put things together made more things clear on how a car is under it hood.
