Default Recaro Picture Request

I've been through the search function all night and need some help. Was wondering if any recaro owners could take a close up picture of one of their seats. Im wondering what style fabric does recaro use. As far as I can see the SRD's use an alcantra style fabric but it is hard to tell. If anyone has first hand knowledge of how it compares to other companies like Corbeau or Sparco it would be much appreciated.

these are the ones some of us bought from On-Trak... they are made of cloth and are not alacantra... i believe they call it the "type R special edition" because they were made in limited quanties.... i have seen other recaros that are made w/ a softer material, but not a thick as the alacantra

The outer of the seat is alcantara but the inner is made of the same fabric as the fabric on the door trim and is similar to a few other hondas.

the recaro's that come in the jdm itr have the alacantra on the outside and a tweed like material on the inside strip, there called jdm itr recaro srd 2's i believe, but im probaly wrong about the name

the regular ones in the first pic are regular recaros srd's, there just regular fabric, an easy way to tell the difference is the jdm itr reacaro's have "recaro" in small letters underneath the harness strap holes and the regular srd's have "recaro" in big letters overtop the harness hole, im pretty sure those are the only difference

pricing, i see the red jdm srd's goin from about $700 to almost $1100 depending on condition and how new they are, and the black ones are a little more rare and start at about $1000 and can get up to about $1400 depending on condition and how new they are

One last question on the US Recaros. Does the fabric feel sturdy? How does it compare to other companies like Corbeau?

Do they sit lower than the OEM U.S. seats?

i have these in my car I am selling below (plug) Recaro calls this Avus black cloth, it is very sturdy and looks great. IMHO alot better than Sparcos cloth material. The only problem is that it is not that easy to vacuum off when they get dirty because the fabric holds on to every little thing.

Hope this helps
