Default exhaust too laud

what up everyone. i have a 98 integra ls. i went to get my exhaust tested to see if passes the requirement of 95 db's. unfortunately it tested at 101 db's. i was wondering if Greddy made a silencer for their exhaust and if not what are some methods i can do to make the sound LESS noisy.

Why make it less noisy? C'mon, everyone loves a super loud ricey exhaust, get a Bomex and a 4 foot aluminum spoiler and you're all set

Do you have a header or intake? Those can contribute to a deeper and louder sound.

Hahaha, all that noise and so little power.

If you want to quiet down your exhaust, shove some steel wool in the tailpipe, put a metal screen (such as gutter guard) over the end to keep it from falling out, and hold that on with a big hose clamp. It may not look the best, but it's how people here quiet down their cars for SCCA autocrosses (we have a 93 DBa limit).

If your problem is intake noise (big aluminum intakes will do this), then I'm not sure if there's a way other than to replace the aluminum tube with something less noisy like rubber or plastic. Having a filter that's too small (ie doesn't flow enough) will create noise too.

If your that worried about it, and it affects you getting an inspection. then maybe you should think about getting a different exhaust that doesn't roar so loud.....

Or search around town for a guy that gives out inspection stickers by payment and no checkup. I say do this after you have a real inspection and they tell you if you have anything wrong with your car. Its a good idea to get it checked first obviously....
