ACT Clutch
When i bought my car a guy told me that he thinks that there might be a ACT clutch in there but he was not sure because the other owner before him installed it. I know there is only one way to find out would be to open up the tranny and look. But is there any other way, just curious. Also i would have to install new clutch cables every 4 months becasue of the increase pedel presure it makes. Does anybody with ACT's have this same problem and if u did what did u do to fix it? thanks
I had a 4 puck ACT clutch in my B16 crx and my cable was just fine. I think one of the easiest ways to see if you have one is to remove the starter and take a peek inside to see if you can see a yellow pressure plate.
Maybe you can even take that flywheel dust cover off and check too, I don't remember if you can see it from there too though.
P.S. If the pressure plate is yellow, then you most likely have an ACT clutch but it's still not 100% sure....

I have an act clutch, never had a problem with the cable. There might be a hole on the bottom of the trans, if not you can take your flywheel cover off and see if you got a yellow clutch in there.
