Default vafc and 440 injectors

ok....will this set-up work on a 5gen obd2...planning on 7psi:

225 in tank fuel pump
440 saturated injectors
vafc
FPR

or should I stick to this set-up

inline fuel pump + 225 in-tank fuel pump
FMU
missing link
stock 290 saturated injectors

It will work. Either way you will NEED the FMU if you do not go stand-alone or run the hack.

if you run a hack you dont need the fmu but you need to use the 450's

Correct. Do a search under forced induction for the afc hack and there is a step by step write-up on how to run this.

actually you can do it just fine with 440 if you want, you are just going to limit you boost alittle more. i wouldn't suggest going any lower than 440s since the stock injectors are 345s ( i am assuming your car is a 4th gen.) but i talked with LIam extensively and spent a while crunching numbers, if you have any specific questions about the hack i would be happy to answer them

the problem with running smaller injectors on this hack is that you are more likely to throw the map CEL if you boost too high. if you are really curious i will do a big post with all the crap Liam sent me.

edit im a retard i didn't see you had 290s stock. the 440s will work fine then

290/450 = 0.659, 1-0.659= 34% your afc should be set at -33 ish in the low end and -30 in the top end
thats pretty dam close, 35 is usually your target
so with the 2bar map sensor

2bar = ~32psi, 30% of 40psi (40 x 0.30 = 12) So with your afc set at -30 you can boost 12psi over 0

have you looked into uberdata, or any other hacks that will retard timing under boost?

yeah hes got a point , when you run the hack you are still runing on stock tming, but with the 7 pound you wont be pushing it too hard, if you want you can retard your distributer a few degrees, and that will give alittel added safty but you will lose alittle low end. i just won't push to high with the hack especially on the h series where the ring landings are weak, all you need is just alittle to mch timming or a detonation.
