Default Resistor Trick On O2 sensor In Cat Converter

I was looking at a fellow honda-tech member's homepage and came across the one of his installations. I noticed that he did the resistor trick for the O2 sensor on his cat on his F22 motor. Since I have a F23 motor, the wires should be different and maybe the voltage on the O2 sensors will be different. That would mean that I will have to use a different voltage resistor. I am wondering if any 6th gen Accords have done this mod and what resistors and wires did you use?

I don't know if it'll work, but the O2 sensor used in the Accords is the same for all of them I believe. As far as I know anyway . If you're just trying to fool the ECU, which is what I'm guessing to bypass the OBDII issues.......you can always make a square wave generator with a 555 timer (very simple), or you can just use a variable resistor until you get it to work. I'd say somewhere in the 10k pot range would be more than capable. I forget how the voltage on the O2 sensor coresponds with the a/f ratio, but I think it's lower = leaner....so that'd work, but if it's the other way, then this trick won't work.

I remember seeing a "how-to" on a member's personal website. I also bought all the parts listed.. but I couldn't exactly figure it out. ...

If anyone has an easy to follow "how-to" on it.. I'd be much abliged.

Yeah, that's the one I had trouble figuring out. I bought all the part #'s and everything, but they don't look the same as in the picture. Has anyone done this successfully that can clarify ??

Bump for a good topic concerning all OBD-2 cars with a test pipe and check engine light.

There is a shop here in Knoxville that sells the boxes as well and they work great cause that is what a lot of people here in knoxville use on their cars> I can get a phone number if you want it.
