$400 for a stock exhaust that's bullshit, go to another shop.
You can get a custom one that will sound good for cheaper then that. A 99 Si cat back won't bolt up to your car, I know you can use the muffler but not sure on the rest.
If you get a custom system, go Magnaflow. They sound good and aren't too loud, just make sure you get a resonator.

Nope...don't do it. Get a catback (prefab peices can be found for that kind of money)if you plan to spend that much. If you are trying to stay stock try another muffler shop, 400 bucks for an OEM type replacement is crazy to me.

Agreed. And A'PEXi WS cat-back is only $405-$445, pending who you get it from.

I think that http://www.inlinefour.com has them for 357 in the specials for the month.

I have the WS on my hatch and I love it

For a stock exhaust you could unbolt one from a junkyard for like 20, or buy someone elses on the board for prolly under 100. New parts won't cost you mroe than 150. Install is pretty damn easy if you have the means, othersie don't pay more than 100 for a shop to do it.

I like stock exhaust. Running JDM SiR-II with OE Civic EX Coupe exhaust. Seems pretty good ::

Actually, I full 99 Si exhaust, minus the cat, will bolt up to a 92-95 civic coupe. I've done it before...

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't 2" piping with a stock muffler (I'm thinking of the straw size ones) create unwanted backpressure?
