Help Im pissed right now!
OK, you know the punch pin in the shift rod... My friends always removed it for me. I am taking off the tranny right now by myself and I got the stupid punch stuck in the pin from the top I cant seem to get it out. Is there some secret to getting that stupid pin out and can I do it from the bottom..? Please help!

I use a socket. You know, one of those 1/4" drive long shank 6mm ones that you never use.
Fine a socket that is slightly smaller then the bitch pin. Stick a nail in the socket that you can stick into the center of the pin. that will help keep it centered while you bang the living **** out of it.
Oh, and put an appropriate extension on the socket.
It also helps to lift the car as high as you can to give yourself more room to work.
And please put 2 jackstands, 2 wheel chocks, and leave the jack extended under the front of the car for extra safety, especially if you are by yourself.
