Default Headlight bulbs

What is the brightest bulb you would reccommend for a stock headlamp? streetlegal and won't simply look like you got your brights on. I just ordered a 51w=115w 4000k 9006 PIAA.
Is that gonna be overkill?

Agree HID is but shop around, you will find kits ranging from 600 down to 400, so do your homework before taking that leap.....also HID is tons brighter on the ground, its the closest to sunlight (15000K versus HID you can get up to but most are 8000K) so you will see really good at night, plus they look DOPE. Nothing like a accord with some BMW or Benz lights....did I mention I can hang. LMAO

I've heard that if you low beams are too bright you can get a ticket. HID tend to be directed down by projectors, but I'm gonna stick these bulbs in a stock Accord housing, I hope I don't simply look like someone driving around with my brights on.

Well if your headlamps are adjusted they should shine like regular bulbs, if you feel they are pointing up too much you can adjust them via a screw on the top and side of your headlamp, and HID's aren't illegal because tons of cars have them......

Not only does he post, but also he moderates you, man!

Nick, I don't know either about the HID craze if people love them just for the looks. But, for having some on my car, I can tell you in the past year, it has saved me from a bad accident. ( read here if you want: http://www.accordinglydone.com...=2558 )

But, of course, I do drive at night pretty much on a daily basis, so they do come in handy.
