Easiest way to pull the axle out of the transmission? I know there is a ring type deal holding it in, what are some techniques to pull it out the easiest?

big screwdriver or prybar between the inner joint and the tranny case, and pry it apart.

I had the hardest time getting the passenger side out. I used a decent sized prybar like everyone says. I leg pressed it over and over for about 15 mins and it finally popped out. So dont get your hopes down after a few tries and it doesnt work, keep at it and show who's in charge

Easiest way. Have done this way over 200 times, never failed.

Screwdrivers will do the job, but a pry bar will do it alot easier, and faster.

Agreed. The next hardest part is putting it in...

**Every changed an axle on the fly? I mean, in a secluded parking lot? Car can't be towed...it must be able to drive...so we changed the axle. COST $$100+ including 3 quarts of Honda MTF.

I find it easier to whack the axle a few times, then turn it 180 degrees; then it comes out easily.
