idle problems
Having problems ever since I swaped in my b16b into my 97 hatch. First it will not stay on by itself unless you hold the pedal down a bit. Once it warms up, it will idle fine. Then if you press the gas a little bit it will idle up and down. Anybody have in ideas. Thanx!!!! Any help will be a great help.
For the not staying on part when the engine is cold, I believe thats a IACV problem. You might have to get a new one or you might be able to just unbolt it from the back of your intake manifold and spray some engine degreaser on the filter screen to clean out the buildup that usually occurs.
The ecu that came with my swap was shot and it did the same thing. So you might want to check if its your ecu. After I swapped my ecu to one of the HyperDuck chipped ones everything worked itself out. So try to find someone that is able to plug your computer into their car to see if its your ecu

I am having idle problem like you stated, excpet mine revs very high when it's cold, like 3k, then it drops to 1k, jumps back to 2k then back down.. repeats this..it's been like this for like 2 weeks now, just waiting for my IACV to come in from the mail. I sure hope I troubleshot this problem correctly, cause if I didn't , I'm out $200....

are you throwing any codes? maybe an O2 sensor code or IACV code?

What up, the check engine light does not come on but I haven't had a chance to check another way. what do you think could be my problem. something small i hope.
aight fellas just a lil update on my idle problem..........ITS FIXED!!!!!!!!!!! YEAAAA!!!!!!! boi am I glad that **** stopped. all along it wasnt the iacv or vacum lines, the intake manifold gasket was pretty bad. it was leaking all the way around and I gues it caused the ecu to think it was the iacv. weird if you ask me but I replaced the manifold gaske and poof! no more problems
