Default Hi there new H-T

I just wanted to say thank you for everyones help around hear, sence i have found the surch buttion this is my first post. Too bad it can not be a good one tho...just right now i need to vent. I have a 2001 satin silver metallic GSR with 78000 on the clock(i drive quite a bit). So the other day i go to put it in 5th gear and it grinds, now it does it all the time but only in 5th. So i have the extended warranty, ya know 5yr. 100,000 mi. I get in there first of all it is a 75$ charge just to look at the car, and then the man comes back and tells me that i missed a shift, and that i can not drive my car. There is nothing that he can or will do about it. He wanted me to authorise a 1400$ work order to repair the 5th gear syncro. The only way it would be warranty work is if they found a broken gear. Is this a crock of **** or what. I just thought i would vent sorry to make it so long. Thanks for all your help
Andrew

I know I know the price was unherd of. They wanted me to sigh a release of $1378 to take the trans. out and apart to see if it was warranty work. It was something like 750 for just labor around 375 for parts and the rest was shops fees and taxes. I called 4 diff. dealerships across FL today to see what was going on. All i could get was really the same thing. The B searies traney has poor syncros. and do to the high impact of the import sean will no longer be covered....too many clames are comming in and they are getting tired of it. I know total bull ****....but i am at a loss on this on....so far unless something happens. Oh yeah the only way they would cover it is if there was a brokne gear in the tranie....lol....

and thanks for the welecome kristo92
ment to say 2muchgt sorry don't flame me

This place down where I live told me it would cost 700+ dollars to do since it takes 7 1/2 hours to do the job. I just laughed at the guy and left.
