I voted OEM simply for the price...they are much cheaper to replace if need be...

I voted cometic. I recommend them in all my builds. Even the one I have on my current setup was RE-USED from my old motor setup. Just add some copper spray and call it a day.

I see nothing wrong with the Mr. gasket MLS gasket that summit sells for $40. Get some ARP head studs while your at it, then the gasket won't give you any greif unless you give it GOOD reason to.

I'm building my motor now for boost. My machinist suggested Wiesco pistons. When I called Wiesco they offered me a package deal for the pistons and the headgasket, anyway, it's Cometic Metal gasket...

Just wondering what everyone has to say about these for high-horsepower - high-boos applications. Any problems so far with them? Any input is appreciated.

I payed 100 bucks straight from Wiesco.

But has anyone really had any problems with high-boost on this head gasket? I'd like to know exactly what I'm getting into before I do.

Thanks again

I meant if you don't over-heat the car or hit it with a lot of knock..

Also look into "halimar" ( spelling may not be correct ). Bently invented "halimare" to help seal the head gaskets on there TT-V12's, now perminex is licenced to sell it here in the US. All the GN guys say its the ****, and you can't argue with the Bently...

I used copper spray, ARP head studs, and Mr. Gasket MLS gasket, but I'm going to use the "halimar" on my TT stealth.

Civic head = 3 hours ( ON AND OFF )
Stealth TT heads = 2 1/2 days JUST TO GET THEM OFF !!!

Are there any advantages to copper spraying a headgasket?
