Nitrous on h22 problem
I recently installed a wet 75 shot n.o.s./holley kit on my 01' prelude using the jets reccomended in the manual as #36 n2o and fuel jet #24. I went to the track last weekend and posted a 14.3 @97mph- now i felt a little bogging everytime i changed gears but the pull wasnt as strong as i thought it would be, i did a gtec meter test with my car when it was stock and made 159hp- now with this kit i only get 200hp. is there something wrong with the jetting or is this normal only get 41hp on a jetting for 75?? the h22 runs on fuel at 40psi so am i running too rich?? or could it be because of the obd3 stock ecu holding back power?? thanks for anyones help on this!
Keep in mind when you are running nitrous your stock fuel curves and ignition tables need to be changed. Until you modify them, you will not get the full potential of the shot you are running.
ok i see that makes sense, so what would be a good step in the right direction? i was already thinking of resorting to a fuel pressure regulator , maybe into the vafc but are there other efficient/simple methods for my aplication thanks again
gtecs are inaccurate.
go to a dyno with a wideband for a run to see for sure what up... a/f readings and whatnot will tell you whats up right away.
btw given the proper bottle pressure and everything... you should see very close to what the shot is in hp gains. wet kits seem to make better numbers also in my opinion.
