Brake trouble any ideas?
ok my brakes have been **** recently, first i changed the front cailpers and pads (bled the system) better but still shitty and i was thinking the m/c was shot so i got a 91 teg m/c and booster (both new from car quest) installed in and bled the system twice still the brakes are kinda soft and the pedal fall almost to the floor.
how can stiff up my pedal?
88 si with stock front calipers 91 rear trailing arms 91 teg m/c and boost non abs
thanks

It sounds like you have a leak somewhere. Have you checked all calipers to see if they have any leaks? Also how are you bleeding the system?
i bled it using a tube and a wrench my gf pumped up the brakes and held them down i open the valve, air and oil comes out, one hting i noticed is that the front brakes had mre force than the rear, maybe its teh proportioning vavle? i have rear 91 si control arms (4 wheel disc) i cant see any leaks and i never need to top
off the mc and they dont get worst they just dont get better,
also does the pedal need to be ajusted?

i dont have teg brakes just the m/c and booster the calipers are all 88 crx infront and 91 si in back, i have the drums pv in would that really kill the braking?

Yes, you're supposed to use the 91 Si prop valve if you go with rear disk brakes.

well the only things i know to check are the piston seals on the actual calipers for leaks, make sure your master cylinder is good, check the bleeder valves on the front and rear and make sure they are tight, inspect your brake lines for tears, leaks, etc(steel braided brake lines are a very good investment), and check out the possibility of needing a new brake booster. Those are the only real variables I know of that come into play with variance in pedal stiffness. Common sense would tell me if the pedal feels spongy, it's gotta be a seal or line leak of some sort if it's not air in the lines.
