Integra HUB removel because of rust...
Well I know that many people have rust on their hubs. However, I am sick of it and I am wanting to paint mine. Is it easy to take the hubs off? Anybody have a step by step process? Thanks.
Not too difficult at all. You may run into trouble with your rotor retaining screws, thats about it.
If they give you trouble, just drill the SOBs out and never worry about em again

We are talking about the HUBS and not the rotors correct? The rotors are of no concern. But rather the big metal circle at the base of the rotors. You think black would be a good color to paint the hubs? I don't want it to be noticed. Kind of a clean look you know?

im in the proccess of painting my hubs/calibers and the center part of the rotors. i wish i had a digi cam to take pics, im leaving the hubs on, but took everything else off.
to get all the rust off i used a air drill with wire wheel and an air sander with a lowgrit pad on it (either 36 or 24 i forget)
once the parts were ready for paint i sprayed 2 coats Permatex Rust Treatment on them. it comes in a spray can available at Carquest. It sprays on clear but hardens to black.
then i let the parts dry for 24 hours, used 2 coats of tractor enamel primer
then after another 24 hours drying time i used low gloss black, rust inhibitive Tractor Enamel (also avaiable at carquest). i gave about 12 hours between each coat.
dont forget to carefully mask everything off that you dont want paint on.
