For a street motor, not worth it. Even in a race motor, where every trick counts, maybe. The potential for a too-tight valve to burn is too great.

Your asking for trouble on a street motor. Valve lash that is too tight will cause additional wear on the valve train, rockers and cams. The clearance is such to allow a thin layer of oil to reside on the cam and rocker surface. Too close and you lose that layer of protection as well as added heat. Gain is minimal and risk is high. I adjust valve lash to the tight end of the clearance range, and thats as tight as I would go on a non race motor.
