List is $249.95... I sell them for $159.95 shipped all day long

Good stuff, We used the 1200 watt (LA790) to an Audiobahn AW1200 subwoofer, in a 6th gen civic coupe and shoot the ladders off our walls -- and we were vibrating the floor above. Fantastic little product!

I am %50 %50 on this. Brand names are brand names for reasons. JL is Legacy isn't. If your legacy broke every 5 months, you could be buying 4 of them in the time it takes a JL to even shudder.

Well that depends...I have a Lanzar optidrive class d amp pushing my 12 L7. Lanzar is not a high end brand, but I have heard nothing but good reviews from their optidrives. So it depends. But I do agree that legacy amps are junk.

Tempting, but does it produce clean sound quality?

JL Legacy
The 1000.1 is rated at 1,000 watts rms from 1.5ohm-4ohm. Guarantee the legacy doesn't come close to that kind of power.
