Default Amp Recomendations?

I wanna run an amp for my Infinity Reference 6.5's and 6x9's. I was htinking of getting a Fosgate 301s which puts out 75x4 rms.

Also need an amp recommendation for 2 Infinnity Reference 12's. They are 300 rms and 1200 peak. I was thinking either a Fosgate 601s (300x2) or a Fosgate 801s (400x2).

What do you guys think?

I meant the 301x, sorry

what brand would be better? I have always had Rockford amps and they have been great!

I need a 300x2 RMS amplifier for the Reference 12's. What would a good amp like that be?

My price range would depend on the amp. I mean the subs are only $100 each brand new so I don't wanna spend big$$$ on an amp! I found the fosgate 601s for around $320.

What is a good one for under $400 (300x2)?

Because it sounds close minded....

So you would never try any of the following amps:
Linear Power
US Amps
Tru
Arc Audio
Phoenix Gold
Xtant
Brax
Helix
Sinfoni
Blade
Audison
and I could keep going for days....

Just b/c you don't "know they will work"?!?!?!

It's like saying that you will never buy a BMW b/c you have only owned Honda/Acuras and they work for you.

Yeah, that sounds ignorant to me

I know about all these brands and i know what i like and dont like. Why does it matter so much to you what i like he aske d a question and i answered how i feel. Sorry that most of those brands dont tickle my fancy but i know alot of people that would never want most of the brands you named.

Actually my car audio shop doesnt even sell half of that crap...and Go ahead and call the tampa bay bucs and ask them why they go to the same shop as me and they happen to agree with me.

Also i apologize for not mentioning Xtant because they are awesome as well. and of course there are others i dont know about or have forgotten over time since i dont have much care for any of that stuff right now

Not trying to start an argument just posting my feelings. I am sure you know what you are talking about so dont think i am calling you stupid or anything like that. I am sure we could trade car audio experiences all day. Anyways to each his own but no hard feelings.

I could care less about where some professional athletes get their systems done. From every single one that I have seen, they are all about flash, and probably don't stage, image, etc worth a ****. On top of that, they just have plain, flat out, poor taste. Some people are more interested in video screens and having their name plastered on the car (I don't get the need for an ego boost) - and that's not a bash against you at all...I'm just not impressed by that crap.

I just agreed with ATF kuk that limiting yourself to JL and RF is sorta dumb - end of story. I agree that those two brands make amplifiers that can get the job done, and will work very well in some applications, but limiting yourself to anything IMO is foolish.

I'd also say that you would be hard pressed to call any of the brands I listed as "crap" - you'd probably find more people who would consider RF crap nowadays.....I don't know how you could say that people wouldn't want those brands, they make (arguably) some of the best amplifiers on the market, but that's another discussion all together.

of course no hard feelings - it's an internet board ....I don't have a problem with you posting your opinion...that's why we are here. But if you say something that I strongly disagree with, I'll put in my $0.02

I guess we just agree to disagree on this one...
