Default JDM FD & ITR LSD into B16a2 tranny? Is it possible?

Another stupid question...

I used to have a '98 spec ITR tranny. Well I sold the motor. Now I am building up another. I have found a smoking good deal on a tranny from a '00 Civic Si.

What parts have to be changed for a JDM ITR Final drive and OEM ITR LSD to be installed into the B16a2 tranny?

Thanks in advance!!!

just the main and counter shaft jdm first and final and oem lsd, just like doing a jdm final in an itr tranny, adding a lsd to the mix

others can correct if i am wrong

you'll need to modify the si tranny case, so that the ITR lsd can fit in it!

you'll need to take some material of the inside of the bell housing, you'll notice that when when you place the ITR LSD it will hit the inside of the case(bellhousing)

So if I just want to run the ITR LSD in a Si tranny, all I have to do is modify the tranny casing. Or do I have to replace the final drive as well?

the final drive has to be replaced..because the Si final is physically too small. The alternative is to get a EG6/EK4 OEM LSD.

But if you are changing to a 4.785, that is already taken care of if you want to use an ITR unit.

You need a 4.4 GSR/ITR ring gear to work with the ITR LSD. SI has a smaller ID.

Yes the jdm final drive is needed for the ctr lsd or you could get the usdm itr or jdm ctr ring gear. Ctr and itr lsd are exactly the same. I have a ctr lsd and jdm itr final drive in my tranny and I love it.
