Do any off you guys have a turbo on your rex or vortec SC??? Cause on my b16 in my car it doesn't look like i have room. so i was just trying see if it was possible or not. If it is possible tell me what you did or what i might have to do. thanx

sohc vtec isn't really vtec... my opinion.

 

I've seen some setups with b16 turbo in a rex, i've heard if you use the hasport mounts it makes the job a bit easier when it comes to clearance, but also have seen it done with the other mounts as well, (place racing and HCP)

I've got a b16 turbo in a 99 SI (Drag Gen 3, T3/T4) and personally can say that was a tight fit... so i can imagine it also being a tight fit in a rex...but i can be done...just do a search, i'm sure there are write ups and pics of this setup in a REX.

I just put an apexi turbo on my d16a6 and It took some chopping off the crossmember and some plastic off the fan cover. I was thinking dohc zc w/ this turbo, but i dunno how it gonna fit. my turbo has the internal wastegate and the actuator is very close to the radiator. If i was any closer, i'd prolly wouldn't be able to put in the turbo w/ out removing the radiator. unoless you get the place racing cross member, and get a half size radiator, the size of your fan. and the mounts that mount the motor closer to the fire wall(for b series). It might work?

 

is this with the stock radiator or a half rad (a civ one)
