yesterday right when i was about to pull into the parking garage.... something happened to my GSR. All of the sudden it started to have a really rough idle ( i can feel it shaking more than normal), there is very little power, and it makes a distinctly more rough / poping sound. The CEL is not on......i tried pulling the ECU fuse and reinstalling, but still same thing........any help is greatly appreciated......thanks

 

How long ago was your last tune up. When one of my wires went bad, I drove like 50 miles before I got a CEL.

 

i did the plugs and cap/rotor 3k miles ago. I have magnicore wires, which i was told dont last very long. I have a feeling that their time was up. I think it has to do with spark because i can smell gas coming out the can. I am going to go buy some new wires and see if that does the trick

 

did you check you replace your plugs the same time, and did you gap them to spec?

 

it was bad plug wires......magnicores gone bad just like that

 

D-Speed I know this will be coming from outer space, but try checking your rotor again. Take a look at the screw that retain the rotor on and make sure its still on. Mines came off not long after I changed my rotor and cause a similar situation as yours. If yours did come off then put it back with some loctite on it.
