for those using GAB shocks...
I'm using GAB adjustable shocks, and lately my rear shocks have started to make this squeaking sound. Does anybody else have the same problem? My shocks only have 10,000 kms on them, fyi
check your spring perches and bushings if not stock. If poly bushings, apply that special grease. Keep in mind that grease will wash off after getting wet and must be re-applied frequently. Check for debris, little rocks and crap that might get in there. You could go to the trouble of removing the strut and taking the spring out and checking the bump stop to be sure all is well and apply some special grease if you don't have dust boots.
I'm using vision upper shock mount bushings ( the red ones ) and I didnt grease them when i put them on. That could be the cause of the squeaks - ill check it out tomorrow. Thanks for the help
I was running GAB's on my Eclipse. The rears would only squeak when I had them on the softest setting. It happened to 2 other people that I knew who had GAB's, so I just chalked it up to being normal.
