H blocks can be bored out to 90 mm when sleeved.
I have no idea how much you can bore out a K24.
A 90mm H23vtec is about a 2.4L.

I'm sure you can bore and stroke an H-Series motor to the 2.6-2.8 region.

If you are talking about the new K24 the H-head won't exactly bolt up but other K series heads will.

anyone know what 2ponit6 ran on the 1/4 and how much power he dyno?
also how much did the 90mm piston cost him?
whats wise? a stock h23 vtec turbo with 50 shot nitrous or a h23 vtec sleeve and bore 90 mm

yes the K and H motor parts will not bolt up as already mentioned above.

also if forged pistons are going to be used in an H22 or H23, it is highly recommended to resleeve due to the OEM style FMR sleeves which do not work well with forged pistons. and using boost + N2O isn't really a good idea, especially with stock sleeves. why use both when only one will do the job??

the H23 bottom end, or an H22 bottom end with H23 crank/rods, and an H22 head is a good combonation from what i hear. but i have never worked with the H series motors, so i don't have any direct experience. just what i have seen and heard. and yes 90mm is about the max that most will overbore to on the H series sleeved block. i don't know if 91mm is recommended.

For a street car Id say 78mm is about the biggest you can safely bore too on a sleeved D block. Ive seen 81mm before but that was for a full drag car and they had gasket problems like crazy.

The bore on a B series engine is bigger than the D series. It makes sense because the B series can rev higher with a bigger bore and a smaller stroke, while the D series has a smaller bore and a larger stroke, thats why the D series motors can't rev as high.

2Point6's H22, is now a 2.44. He ran a 13.0@104 with one of his shifter cables snapping at 1000' mark. You have to remember that this motor was in a 2600+ Accord on slicks. The motor put down 247hp and 182 torque

Have you looked at the motors before? It's plain to see the B-Series is physically larger then a D-Series motor.

87mm on a D-Series would just be rediculous.

Alright, thanks. Thats all I wanted to know. I've never really worked with any B-series engine, so I didnt know if it was larger or not.
