H22a Cylinder Coating?

Does a H22a engine have a coating of some sort on the cylinder bores?

no,that is the h23 block.

As far as i know you can't run forged pistions in at least an H22a4 (newer motor)

It's not really a coating, it's the material the bore liner is made out of - FRM (fiber reinforced metal). A search should bring up a ton of info . . . .

Don't post incorrect info. Both the h22 and h23 have the frm lining as was mentioned.
