Default Should I trade b18c1 for a 99 jdm b18c-r long block

I am getting a b18c1 for free from my bothers totaled 94 GSR but I don't want it. It has almost 160k miles and it won't pass smog if I swap it into my 2000 Si so I would rather slap my b16a2 head on the itr block, which will pass smog because they can't tell what year the jdm block is. b18c1_powered_si has a 99 jdm itr long block that he will trade me for my complete swap. He told me my swap was only worth $2k and his long block was worth $2200. What should I do? Is this a good deal because I searched and couldn't find how much a motor with 160k miles goes for. I want to do it because I don't need the tranny, ecu or any of the other parts but I want to make sure its a good deal.

b16a head + itr block = po mans type-r motor. if you feel like doing the work then go for it.

Thats not a big deal I am putting ctr pistons in it, probably ef-1 cams and I have a 00 si tranny with a lsd and 4.785 fd. The head I have I already port and polished it and its a pr3 head so it will be a itr motor. Did you mean b18c block + b16a head.

No, ITR block, b16a head. but if your putting in ctr pistons anyway you probably can get away with using the b18c block
