jdm block, how to tell what year it is?

jdm block, how to tell what year it is?
how can you tell what year a jdm b16a 5series block was made, can you tell by just looking at the block number? i know the head has the date stamped on it, fortunately when i bought the motor it came with a 99 usdm civic si head. thanks

if the block is stamped 5,0XX,XXX it is a 1st gen block.
if it is stamped 5,4XX,XXX it is a 2nd gen block.

the block # starts with 5,40x,xxx. its a 2nd gen i know that and its hydro, my question is what year was it made?

also - if it says 94 on the head, it means thats when the motor/head was built and it was in a 95 year car. FYI

thanks, i know that the head is 99 because i checked it already, its the block that i wanna know the year. its jdm b16a block #5,405,xxx.
