Which should win?

car 1: 240hp, 2800 pounds
car 2: 180hp, 2100 pounds with intake(cold air), exhaust, header (4-1)

Consider the drivers to be same skill. Also car one has about 10-15 more torque not a lot. Plus car 1 rear wheel (looses more hp) and car 2 front wheel.

Just curious and want to see your opinions i recon quite a good race

 

well...
if you do the math, the hp/weight ratio is the same. 1 hp for ever 11.6lbs. i would say that the torque would get car one off the line faster but you can do the math for yourself to figure that one out. i dont know about the hp loss through the drivetrain of a rearwheel drive car but the 2 wheels are going to help the ff out alot. then you come into gearing. id say whoever has shorter gears will win, given the driver is the same.

of course i could just be talking poop

dude they have identical power to weight ratios (11.6 lbs per hp). this would be a interesting race. but i think the hatch would get the s2000 off the line but the s2000 will slowly (repeat slowly) catch up. assuming these are both good drivers.

 

i am impressed 95civicsi you knew the cars i know the s2k was easy but i thought the hatch w/ 180 instead of the usual 160 or 170 might throw you but it didn't... do you know wich model??
