hydro lock question
I have a friend who hydro locked his GS-R. He is sellin the motor cheap. I am just wonderin if you can rebuild a hydro locked motor assuming the block isn't damaged.
If the block or head warps from the rapid heat change you will need to have it resurfaced which will raise your compression a little, that can be fixed with additional head gasket(s). Besides that, new internals and a complete rebuild and you should be in good shape.

Me too, mine didnt lock up but just sucked up water. Changed oil (about 20oz of water was in oil when I changed it), plugs, and compression tested and still hitting vtec daily.
